a very good afternoon to all my readers, once again. miss my existance? haha. ok maybe not but. nvm.
wushu camp was a mixture of sian-ness and excitement. and i got suan-ed a couple of times.
1st day we reported to sch and took off to our kayaking course. and i tot it was @ east coast and.. while the bus was driving and driving, i realised that, eh... why are all the road signs saying, "Changi..."
and here goes pple saying, " i tot it's east coast, geraldine said so...." uhoh!
2nd event was that before all of us could get on a kayak, we had to learn how to float on the sea if we capsized and.. we all had to interlock our arms and walk together step by step into the sea. and later, relax of body and allow the legs to float up. and WOOOHOOO, tat's was real exciting. and the coach tot tat we were panicking, no we're just getting excited, a little nervous, coz the water was *brrrrr...* cold. i guess. i kept giggling and giggling. and after we got out of the sea. i realised that my whole body and most importantly, my CLOTHES AND UNDER GARMENTS ALL WET. -.- and i only brought a t-shirt to change, left my pants in sch. and didn bring under garments. but luckily, my undergarments werent really drenched and dripping with water lah. they're just, u know, wet. and here goes,
"geraldine, why u nva inform us to bring undergarments..." LOL.
ok after that, we paired up, boy to girl. and boarded a kayak. the girl infront boy behind. and it's cool when u see the compartments of the kayak. there's the waterbottle one, the food/clothes one and the seat etc. then we played 3 games. one was racing, compete against other kayaks, then another round was the whole lot of us compete against time.
the 2nd games was that all of our kayaks were to be 'parked' side by side and we all needa stand on our kayaks and sing a song. lol. and while trying, 2 of my juniors capsized. i think it's because they were alittle panic. and guees wad, both kayaks were just beside mine. -.-
well, it is because of pure unlunckiness or someone is unlucky. hahas
the next part of the game, was to ask a few pple to stand up and quickly exchange their seats. cool right? and no one capsized. :)
the last game we had was ice and water. it's the best part of the whole kayaking thing. and it was when, i realised tat my partner (junior) and i could actually work very well in controlling our kayaks. we could turn around, back paddle and move forward @ quiet a fast pace. and ha! i managed to escaoe from the catchers from the 1st round. then second round, my partner and i joined in the catchers team and... ha, all of the 'waters' were frozen into ice. :D
and the 3rd round. *sigh* didn know the 3rd round, they changed the rules. the catchers and the 'waters' switched roles and. there were only 4 or 3 teams of catchers. IT' NOT FAIR LAH. fortunately, one of the kayaking coach joined us and she was real fast. she managed to save all of us... haha
oh yar speaking of the coach, they were the coaches @ the sec 3 camp! cool eh!
and by the end of the 3rd round of ice and water, well, i started to feel alittle sea sick. and just nice, we were told to return to shore! :)
to me, TO ME, kayaking doesnt reallly need alot of strength. but it's better if u do some arm rotation before u kayak, coz it's uffering from some muscle cramps around the arms.
and i wanna try dragonboat next yr! haha.
after kayaking, we were given time to go into the toilets and bathe and change,well, the showers were far BETTER than those @ the camp. most importantly, it's CLEAN and there's WARM WATER. XD and after the wash up, i went out and sat outside the toilet and tried to dry my shoes. and this wonderful talk-non-stop boy, named winston, came to me and u know wad. he described to me wad exactly was happening in the boys' toilet. -.-
erm, it's alittle too DETAILED and. yar. ahem, i told her sister already and she gave him alittle reprimandation. :)
back to sch had lunch, puke. and discussion abt grp name / cheer etc. lots of non sense. then..we had some stern warnings from suhui. haiz. jump to games lah hor. my fav are the games.
we had chair soccer, hula ohla - some balance the hula hooop game (new name invented by genius - geraldine bai xiu li. tyty!) and dog and bone.
my fav part was dog and bone. instead of getting numbered. we gave actions. for eg: "i want all the sissys and gays" or " i want brisk walking.." or even " i want a boy and girl, hand to hand..." . ofcoz, who was the one of gave the stupid orders? ME! haha. my fav order was, " i wan everyone to wear their slippers okay," then i said, " all those who are not wearing slippers up!" haha. evil right? :D
then we had a short game of basketball with volley balls. and then it was the candle light BBQ dinner. well, i must say, though i enjoyed the candle light and the jokes my juniors shared during dinner, i will nva want a candle light meal in sch or where ever again. scraping up the wax was a GREAT PAIN. and cleaning up the BBQ leftover food, mayonise and the pit was also another dreadful thing. but many thx to those who helped cleaning and scraping. LOVE U ALL.. hahas.
ok next suei thing happened after i finished cleaning up the BBQ area, after i packed my bag and after i left sch. I LEFT MY WALLET IN SCHOOL SIAH LAH! but thx again to jane and winifred. they found my wallet and ran to pass my dear wallet to me despite the long distance from the 3rd floor classroom to the sch gate. i'm very touched. *sniff* haha. but, i reached home and finished bathing @ 11.30pm. and my parents werent very happy abt it.
ok rise and shines, the very next day morning. overslept, maybe was because i was too tired the day before. then we had morning run and obstacle course. then we had flag discussion and then we ended the camp with reflections - 3 sorries, 2 things u r proud of and 1 thing you wan to improve about urself.
and i wanna say, the lunch yesterday was very yummy and thx ck! for helping us carry the drinks and sry for not giving u a drink hahaz.
through this camp, i get to know each of my junior's character better and .. i guess we all got bonded alittle more. and i hope tat. yar, we all will be more disciplined and we aim to be like the.. NPCCs haha! (coz this camp was a discipline camp)
oh yar one more thing. sry if i broke this camp rule abt speaking singlish and chinese! i did my pumpings @ home already! haha... bye for now...
