These days, my days are so packed with school work that it took so many days (since the last time i blogged, till today) to realise that I've neglected my personal blog.

I guess it's thanks to the weekly assignment - com101 module requires us to do a weekly post on recent media texts that can be related to what was being taught in that week. I guess it's beneficial as it makes us reflect on the lectures and demands us to be able to apply what we learn to current affairs... Though it's just a simple 400 word entry, it's time consuming to hunt for suitable media texts.

But, a great thanks to ruishan, winnie, manda, shuwen, tricia and JJ (lather 2 are my OG mates - not frens)

for taking time to read my blog and comment on it. *hint hint*

hinted and told Jo and serene right in the face a couple of times to support my blog... but those attempts were useless... oh wellzzzz

and even texted some of [TG] to comment, but.... oh wellzzzz

hahaa...

I'm currently leading an unhealthy lifestyle - late nights, irregular meals, little vege :(
My October Resolution: to regulate my eating habits 1st. Sleep... cant be helped if I have loads of work to complete...

Wonder how's school work affecting you guys...
It's been a long time since I last saw u guys...

a really random food for thought

okays, school is taking up like almost the whole of my life. I've already working on 3 (3 mths long) projects, this is crazy! I wonder if it's gona be like this for the rest of my semester.

comms project is maddening. You've gotta do movie reviews and evaluation according to what we're going to learn from Unit 1-4. Which will only end 7-8 weeks later. Insanity. I tell you what, I think i'm going to go borrow the school's comms txtbk and perhaps note down/photocopy (even better) unit 1-4. IF, if it's not a lot. hang on, let me check my course outline...

alright, that's probably, 1/2 of the syllabus. still okay, still manageable.

psy. we're working on perceptions and attributions, hope sth interesting gets cooking. dunno when's the due date though. but, ANYWAYS... going to the next proj

soc. our given topic - religion. It's really cool. nva really touched this topic. but it's gona be interesting finding out more abt religions that may be unheard of, the interesting rules their believers have to abide. due date's nov. it seems like it's not rush but.... nov is when all the final semester exams comes... ahhh... so i intend to suggest to my grpmates to finish it by mid oct. :D awesome-ness

I realised that I'm kinda HOOKED to using the word "awesomeness"

It seems that a lot of ppl in UB uses it. and, i'm kinda influenced.. yea.

Anyways, my new frens at UB are not bad. They come from areas that i almost nva been to... yishun, ang mo kio, bishan... kovan....

And one said that "Tampines is the most Uloo place in Singapore..."
and she lives in YISHUN. And i shot back at her with this "like.. comeon. tampines' got 3 malls, and yishun? that lonely mall there" :P

It's kinda sad that i didn make any frens that drives and lives in the east. I think the student council shld totally, GET SHUTTLE BUSES TO GO TO paya lebar at least, to fetch students to sch.

the rah-rah over eye candies and however one wears clothes are on-going...
realised that there's a lot of smokers in sch and that I've been brought up in an extremely safe and protected and fortunate environment. Uni's like an eye-opener for me.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

getting lazy to even just retell about my daily life...

School has started (oh wows), and there's already projects piling up. I wonder if it's just UB (Uni of Buffalo) or are all freshies facing the same fate - well, zing and chris both from Uni of London aren't having ANY projects.. :/ but the hind side is that they have 3 hr kind of lessons and are usually scheduled early in the morning...

I've gotta say that I consider myself as a fortune freshie, having frens(serene, jo and chris) travelling to school together, knowing 2 ppl who hv the exact schedule as me, and being able to have 4 days of late lessons. Waking up early is really an issue for me...

This morning, I was almost late but i reached my CSE aka computer science class at 8:28am. phew. Seriously, no matter how early i wake up, or how late, I'll still fall back to sleep, once I've washed up, just before i start changing and making my bed. Bad Bad Bad, extremely bad habit.

I think I feel fine. cos I'm not going to make it to sch in time even if i took the shuttle bus. Oh wells.

i'm currently studying english, computer science, intro of communication, intro of psychology and intro of sociology now.

well, english, is rubbish, learning abt all those verbs, process-thinking, thought process for essays etc.

computer science, is also rubbish, cos I'm soo not going to use it in future... chpt 1 has been really mathsy (a new term i invented, 10 sec ago), strongly related to math

comms, i heard that the lecturer is a sexist - biased towards boys, but so far for lesson 1, I've yet to see any signs of sexism... perhaps time will show... but there's ALOT of assignments for it already, like reflective blogs, grp proj (which we'll be briefed on later in the week), an essay on 3 adverts that are shown on local tv these 2 weeks... details to these assignments are a handful, no, i should say, there's a LIST of rules and details to these assignments that we hv to comply to..

bleahhhk~ (bleah+eeek)

next on the list, psy. a very talkative teacher, nope, it's a Dr. 1 very talkative Dr. I hv as my lecturer. I guess, she repeats each and every of her stories to every batch of students... but overall is an interesting lesson *browses through content page*, eventhough, we're covering the boring biological aspects of psychology now.. neurons, action potential.. blablabla... LOADS of self-reading to be done.

Soc, sama sama as comms, talkative and loud tcher. *browses through content page again*, there's lots of interesting topics to cover, like sexism, equality etc, but, apparently, we're covering the boring part 1st.. the HISTORY (how much did i wished i did not hv to hear of this word since O lvls) of sociology... LOADS of pre-reading and self-reading to be done or u'll catch no balls during lectures, which I am experiencing now. -.-

oh wells, that's kinda of a brief intro of my school so far (ps: today's like the beginning of my 2nd week o-n-l-y). Thinking on the bright side, I only need to endure 3 more months of these and that's IT. THAT'S IT.
